You may or may not know that all businesses are supposed to hang on the wall of the office a copy of their VAT registration certificate. Even though the information it contains is readily available to all at the press of a button and is confirmed in any case if you hold a bookkeeping certificate, some annoying bureaucrats do sometimes demand to see the VAT certificate itself.
I have changed business addresses four times in the 30 years since I registered and I haven't a clue where mine is (actually now I come to think of it maybe I do, but I'm not about to open that box!). So it stands to reason that at least some of my clients are no better than I am.
In the past it was not a simple matter to get a copy of this document. Now it is. So if you want one, drop me a line and I'll fax it to you.
