You probably know by now that I do not recommend believing what one hears from the press in its many forms. Therefore please note that it is now official that the rate of VAT will drop on July 1 to 15.5%. Not-for-profit institutions, whose payroll tax (theoretically half the rate of VAT) did not go down when VAT was last reduced, will now be compensated by a larger than usual drop to 7.5%.
